I've completed my final project. I had a lot of fun with this. I made an effort to use sculpture in Logic after we spent so much time working with it these past few weeks. I also relied pretty heavily on the ultrabeat function, maybe too much, but I love the wide range of sounds you can produce with it. Another goal of mine was to work on the transitional phases within a piece. I'd like to think I did a much better job at this than in the previous assignment.

Hey Jake! It was a pleasure listening to your work. You've really got Ultrabeat down, and your technique with the software overall is good. A couple of thoughts: even though techno tends to be percussion heavy, I'm really missing melodic and harmonic themes here. You could introduce one or two synth pads while still keeping the percussion dominant. That said, I really like the part in the middle of the piece where the drums drop out and the high synth comes in. I think you could make more of this somehow, possibly by threading some of your drum loops in/around it rather than having it stop when the drums come back in. You've got some really nice sounds here, though. Good work!
